Valiant

I just finished reading the book Valiant by the fantastic Holly Black. She's on my list of "OMG I have to read her newest book!!" list. Now in the book one of the characters recites a nursery rhyme her mother used to say to her when she was a child. This rhyme has been stuck in my head for days, I love it and think it's brilliantly entertaining. I'm now going to share it with you! Hopefully it brings you as much pleasure as it brings me! :P

one fine day in the middle of the night
two dead boys got up to fight
back to back they faced each other
drew their swords and shot one another
the deaf cop on the beat heard the noise
and came out and shot the two dead boys
