When people go shopping they expect the best customer service. They want their sales people to be helpful, informative, conversational, non-intrusive. At least thats often what I hope for. Someone who can answer my questions without feeling obligated to follow me like a puppy.
My brother and I walk into Spencers, looking for a Pantera t-shirt. The clerk is up on the ladder fixing a light and stocking the higher up shelves, yells down, `If you need something just shout at me, especially if you need something high up!` I giggled, and continued browsing. After browsing through t-shirts and finding nothing but a Joker poster that says `Why so serious?' we were ready to leave.
My signature piece of jewllery is the Evenstar pendant from Lord of the Rings, people always compliment me on how pretty it is, but very few people actually know what it's from. I'm wearing a V neck top today, one that lets the pendant be seen. He notices and his eyes light up: "Wow! Is that from Lord of the Rings?" "Yes, it is!" (I'm beaming proudly.) "It's really pretty, what kind of stones are in it?" (I really have no idea.. so I shrugged) "I don't really know, it was a gift!" (He leans closer and motions for me to let him see) "Can I see it?" "Sure!" (I kinda hesitate, not sure if Ishould take it off, or just lean forward and let him look) (He notices my hesitation and laughs at me.)
"Oh don't worry Honey! I'm not going to look at your cleavage... Girls Aren't My Thing!"
Ah. I'm in love.
